Vision of Education

I remembered very vividly the first day I attended college, a disillusioned, bitter and jaded first year college student. I thought I deserved better, I thought I was meant for better things in better places, I thought I could not gain intelligence and knowledge in the college.

9 years later, I realise it was there that I learnt the most. I didn't just gain knowledge (technical knowledge I mean), I gained much more. I gained friends, I knew my strength, I learnt my weakness, I knew who I was, I knew what I could achieve if I put my mind, heart and soul into it. I basically learnt the importance of character. For it was there that I appreciated the following quote ...

“Intelligence and character is the true goal of education.”
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
