Missed Opportunity ...

I was on the plane on my way to KSA, watching a movie titled "21" about a brilliant university student, Ben Campbell, who's studying in MIT and got accepted into Harvard Medical School. In order to pay for his tuition fees and living expenses, he needed $300,000. He was recruited by fellow MIT students and trained by his MIT lecturer to count cards in order to beat Las Vegas casino system.

I was drawn by a quote from Ben Campbell during his conversation with his best friend after attending a scholarship interview that didn't seem to be successful. He said,

"Ever since I was 16, I crushed exams, I took on extra-curricular, I showed up early, I sat in front, I stayed late. I gave up everything ... It annoys me that the only thing stopping me from getting into Harvard Med is money."

I wonder how many bright students out there never got a chance to attend a prestigous school/university because they didn't have the money? I could think of a few from my batch of friends already.
